Music advertisements

Ellie Goulding’s music advertisement overall is one of the most popular layouts. The artist being included is really popular. The image takes up a considerable amount of space on the ad.
Lots of editing has been used, you can see that editors have darkened the bottom of the ad so the text would show, against in contrast of colours, and the glitter running through her hair has been added, which is a good effective as it relates to the text and colouring. The gold colour of the advertisement most properly links and indicates her name ‘Goulding’.
The text is done very cleverly. The album name is called ‘Lights’ and the text is done and appears like lights glowing, in which is very successful towards the ad for appealing and withdrawing the audience.

This music advertisement is from a indie/rock genre band called Kasabian it features the typical conventions of a advert--quotes from reviewers along with a star rating, this creates interest to the audience to wonder why the album is so good? We see a released date of the new album 28h of August along with information about a limited edition CD/DVD pack. A real attraction for kasabian fans and would spark interest and conversation. The image we see has a religious feel partnered with the King of clubs play card in the corner give us a sense of power. The annonations of the King of Club card is that he is the top of the pack, bold and power. The almost painted image we see is of a king/soilder with a ribbon tried at the botton reading "Empire" we believe this is the tittle of there new album. Ths image is almost the exact visal representation we think of when you hear the word empire. The strong man image of  warrior carrying a helpless naked woman makes us believe he is the king. It makes the audience believe that this isnt just another album by them its the, new album, its important, its bold and powerful. I like the contrast with the font of the word "Kasabian" and the image thats behind it which is typically soft, oil painting. The title is harsh, bold and black matching the king of clubs feature, I think is is a very affective advertisement, its creative and bold and orginal. That represents there band well.
