Sony is the UKs largest global entertainment and music compnaies. omposing of the most historic and important recordings, it also offers a wide array of local and international superstars. Sony music is fully owned by the Sony company-American
Artists like Kings of Leon, The Script, Foo Fighters and Justin Timberlake have all signed to this music instituion. Because of the range of variety of artists that are signed they have become the biggest music institution in the world.
They also own a label called Bertelsmann Music group--BMG it is considered the third largest music publisher in the world. It was the the biggest independent before selling over its assets to Sony Music. I think that this would be the best possible music institution for our band as they would have huge oppurtunities, as they are global known for producing the best talent. They would have creative freedom, which would allow them to make the music they want to.

Universal music Group

UMG is the worlds leading music company and is made up of two different parts one is the recorded music and the other is music publishing. The reason why that are so popular is the pure diverse range of music they take on--they don't limit themselves on a particular music genre as other smaller companies do they branch out to new and excitting styles of music. The UMG is made up of smaller companies Mecury Records, AM records, Universal Motown Republic group and Polydor Records to just name a few. There are many different artists include--All-Amercian Rejects, Duffy and La Roux which you can see clearly show the different genres. Althoug this is a global company that has thousands of employees, they do have a keen passion for producing good music. For our band/song i dont think it would really fit in with there image of making organic music that is from the heart, it would turn to be too manufactured.
