Media Pitches

These are the slides of our media pitch about the intial ideas we had about making a music video, it includes the chosen band-DanceGrenade, a local group, that we are friends with, that create good, fun music. We let the class listen to the song we had picked from the Dance Grenade selection-Korma Chamerleon. This allowed us to the an idea of what the whole class thought of the song, whether it was popular or hated.This also helped them get an understanding of why we came up with the ideas we did. Idea 1 came from discussion with the band, they were really inspired by the band Ok Go, with there unique, light hearted spin on music-not taking themselves too seriously was a certain theme we wanted to include in our music video for band. So we looked at the End of love video which featured stop motion, bright colours, humour and fun. We hope that we could  include these elements in our music video. Idea 2 took influence from the lyrics of the song more, with the themes of the togetherness, friendship and spending the night with good people and good music. As its approching novemeber we really liked the idea of including fireworks, bonefires, parties, dancing. Not only would this look visally appealing on screen but it was a clear relation to the feeling of the song.
We really like both ideas and through discussion with the rest of the class, we came up with a potential idea that could conbime all three elements to make a truely excitting and creative music video that no only represents the band but the song too. It was a really worth wait experiences as it made us as a group feel passion and excited to get developing our ideas.
